More than anything else, it is the processing method of Sumatran coffees that determines the character in the cup.  The Sumatran coffees don't show as much color as many other coffees especially until the approach the second crack. They are mottled and don't have the appealing color of a richly roasted Colombian. The motled color is of no consequence and the character remains in the cup, so no worries... if you enjoy dark, full bodied and richly aromatic flavorful coffees, this one is worth a try. Smooth and dark a great full bodied cup. Enjoy!
